The kids had a great time at our church's Trunk or Treat. There was games and food and after the party the kids got to go grom car to car getting candy. Janae really got the hang of it and by now Jaydon is a pro. Jaydon was a fireman, Janae was a bee and Jazlynn was a ladybug. Although they were tired they couldn't wait to bust into the candy. Now all the kids can talk about is trick or treating on Halloween night. They are really excited!

Last saturday we had a surprise party for Jared's mom Cheryl's 60th birthday. We had told her that we were having a family dinner for her and much to her surprise, Janae had invited all her closest friends. There were about 20 of us altogether and when she entered the house she was so surprised that she cried! Heather and Janae made dinner and it was so delicious. We played some games and ate and I think everyone had a great time. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful in-law family, they are so loving and I feel as if I am truly a part of their family. I hope my mother-in-law had a great time at her party. It was great to honor her because she is such a wonderful, loving, caring, genuine person. My kids think she is the best person ever and no matter how many times a week they see her they always cry when she leaves. The party was great and the kids were exhausted when we left but everyone had a great time and I think Cheryl was really touched by the effort put forth by her kids.

Today it was my turn to decide where our group went for playgroup and I set up a tour of the local firestation! I had never been on an actual tour before- Our family used to go to the annual fireman's pancake breakfast every year at the fire station at home and today lots of memories of that came flooding back. The girls had a blast (mainly janae), she got to sit in the fire engine, look at all the tools, and wonder around the station. I think her favorite part was when she got to turn the fire hose on and spray water into the street. I am trying to come up with some new things to do with the kids so I thought that this was an interesting experience. Janae had a good time with all her friends and now everytime we drive by she says "I know the guys that work there!" It is really cute!

Today was Jazlynn's first birthday and I have got to say this year has by far been the quickest ever! It feels as if I had her yesterday (without all the pain)!! Tonight we had Nana, Papa, Aunt Janae and Uncle Dave over for dinner and cake! Jazlynn really had no idea what was going on but sure loved the cake! The kids had fun opening her gifts for her and she just walked around everywhere! She loves rubber duckies so the kids had me buy her a ton of them and she loved it! We are so lucky to have family close by to share days like this with us! I just wish there were more family closer to us.

Jaydon's First Lost Tooth

Well, after over a year of anticipation Jaydon finally lost his first tooth. He has wanted to loose a tooth so badly, especially since he was watching kids in his class last year loose teeth left and right. When he got home from school this afternoon it was dangling. I barely touched it and it fell out. He was soooo excited and wanted to call his dad immediately. Last week we went to the dentist and she said that he will probably be toothless by Christmas so it looks like we are on the way!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday the girls and I went to the pumpkin patch in Marble Falls about an hour away! We went with our playgroup so all our friends were with us! There was a maze, animals to pet, a hayride and of course tons of pumpkins. Janae even painted her own pumpkin. It was hot but we had a good time and it was the closest I have felt to home in a long time. The girls were tired when the day was over but Janae really wants to bring Jaydon back before Halloween, so maybe we'll make it back soon!

Jaydon's Bike Ramp

Today, after many months of begging, Jared biult a bike ramp for Jaydon! When we were at my parents house in June my Dad built a mini ramp for him and ever since he has been bugging Jared to build it for him. Jaydon even drew up "plans" for Jared to follow and after much deliberation Jared got Jaydon to drop the heighth from 4 feet to about 1. He really wanted a "big ramp" but we told him that we didn't want him to kill himself. I think we have a future evil-canivile on our hands. He really had fun with it after they built it.

I feel old when I think about having a 6 year old! Jaydon is a really special boy. Over the last year he has really become a little man. He loves to ride bikes, scooters and his wave board. He is enjoying school and is learning to read! Jaydon is a great big brother and helps out all the time, his sisters someday will really look up to him.

Janae Louise

Janae Louise is 3 going on 13! Sometimes I forget how old she is because she will just talk your ear off about everything. She thinks she is a princess and is a total girlie girl. Janae has started preschool and loves it. She keeps everyone in stitches with her crazy personality.

Jazlynn Lucille

Jazlynn Lucille is almost 1! I cannot believe how time flies! She has been walking for over a month now and is into everything. Her favorite toy is rubber duckies and she loves to posh her toy shopping cart all over the house.
